Type locality. Bahia, Brazil .

Voucher. HEC 14876 (zF), 1 October 2001, Totor (s.s. 9) .

Ecology. Epilithic, on a rock ridge sticking out of the silt, deep under an overhang of the vertical reef wall, 8 m depth.

Indian Ocean distribution. Diego Garcia Atoll, Maldives, Rodrigues (this paper).
