HOLOTYPE: AMNH 457076 About AMNH , juvenile female, captured in the Roda Valley , Germany, on 12 July 1846, by Dr. Richter, and died in captivity on 4 September 1846. From the Brehm Collection via the Rothschild Collection.
COMMENTS: Brehm had the single specimen when he described assimilis ; the reverse of Brehm’s label bears ‘‘Nr. 19,’’ the number of the figure in the unnumbered plate in Brehm (1853: opp. p. 182).
