DISTRIBUTION: Guinea to Gabon.

COMMENT: Includes giffardi and goliath; see Heim de Balsac and Meester, 1977, Part 1:21. Gureev, 1979:388, 405, listed giffardi as a distinct species of Crocidura and goliath as a distinct species of Praesorex without comment.
