Type host. Sida sp. (Malvaceae) .
Type locality. Indaiatuba , São Paulo, Brazil .
Additional host/localities in Brazil. On Sida santaremnensis L. ( Malvaceae ): Bento Gonçalves ( Klock et al. 2011), Rio Grande do Sul.
Relationship to host plants. On Sida sp. mites are vagrants and cause rust on leaf undersides and on green stems. Infestation also thought to be associated with light spots on leaves ( Keifer 1977). On S. santaremnensis symptoms were not reported.
Type host plants status. Native herb, shrub or subshrub, not endemic, widely distributed in all biomes and regions ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .
Additional host plant status. S. santaremnensis — native herb or shrub, not endemic, occurring in Amazônia, Cerrado and Mata Atlântica biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020).
