Cordylura fuscitibia Rondani, 1866
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866b: 12 (key), 14 (description) [1867b: 96 (key), 98 (description)].
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in planitie parmensi … prope Florentiam [Parmese plains … near Florence ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♀♀, syntypes ( MZUF: Box 26): Cordylura Mgn / fuscitibia Rndn. , ♀, Parma / 1414.
CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Cordilura fuscitibia ( Gorodkov 1986: 16, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 4); junior synonym of Parallelomma fuscipes ( Zetterstedt, 1838) ( Šifner 2003: 22) .
REMARKS: Rondani (1866b: 14) described Cordylura fuscitibia from more than one female: “ Foeminas tantum raro inveni …, et exemplar sexus ejusdem obtinui a Prof. Piccioli [I only collected rare females …, and received one specimen of the same sex from Prof. Piccioli]”, publishing the species first in a separate (1866b) and then in the journal version (1867b). We found two syntypes in this study. A MZUF male numbered “1414” is not included in the type series because of its sex. Rondani listed this nominal species under the generic name “ Cordylura ”, which is an incorrect subsequent spelling of Cordilura Fallén, 1810 or subsequent usage of Cordylura Meigen, 1826 .
