Coptodryas brevior ( Eggers, 1923) comb. nov.
Xyleborus brevior Eggers, 1923: 183 .
Cyclorhipidion brevius (Eggers) View in CoL [sic]: Wood & Bright 1992: 698.
Remarks. The holotype (NHMW) was examined by RAB and images examined by SMS. The species is transferred to Coptodryas Hopkins, 1915 because of the following characteristics: scutellum not visible; dense tuft of setal associated with elytral mycangium along elytral base; elytral base costate; elytra convex with confused punctures and minute granules.
Distribution. Papua New Guinea.
