Cyphon plumatellus Broun 1915: 320 . Nyholm 2000: 64 (female genitalia illustrated). Gen. nr. Cyphon plumatellus Broun : Macfarlane et al. 2011: 420 (catalogue). Contacyphon plumatellus: Zwick et al. 2013: 345 .

Type locality. Pudding Hill.

Broun number: 3748.

Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, mounted on glass slide pinned together with the specimen, “Holo- \ type” [round label with red border], “3748.” [in Broun’s hand], “Pudding Hill \ 10.12.1912.“ [in Broun’s hand], New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Cyphon \ plumatellus ” [in Broun’s hand], “Holotype \ Cyphon plumatellus \ Broun \ det. T. Nyholm 1981” [in Nyholm’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1915) studied a single specimen collected on 10.12.1912 by T. Hall from Pudding Hill near Methven. According to Nyholm (2000) this species belongs to an undescribed genus.
