Cladiopsocus kogui n. sp. Male

Diagnosis. Belonging in species group “2”, subgroup 4, in the classification of Eertmoed (1986). It differs from the other species in the genus by the shape of the phallosome ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 50–56 ), epiproct and paraprocts ( Figs 41, 42 View FIGURES 36–42 ).

Color. Head ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36–42 ) brown, vertex, front and postclypeus brown, anteclypeus, labrum, mandibles, and maxillae pale brown, labium cream. Compound eyes dark brown, ocelli hyaline in a dark brown area. Antennae and maxillary palps brown. Pronotum pale brown, mesonotum and metanotum brown, thoracic pleura pale brown to cream; legs pale brown, tibiae and tarsi darker. Forewing membrane almost hyaline, ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 36–42 ); veins brown, with brown spots along some veins and at wing margin. Hindwings hyaline ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36–42 ). Abdomen cream, with segmental spots pale brown, clunium and hypandrium brown, clunium with narrow anterior edge dark brown; epiproct and paraproct pale brown, paraproctal prong and phallosome brown.

Morphology. As in diagnosis plus the following: head vertex emarginate, slightly below the upper margin of the compound eyes ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36–42 ); these large, with interommatidial setae. D is 0.60 the length of the head in front view. Forewings ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 36–42 ); membrane pterostigma with setae, without spur veins. Hypandrium triangular, broad, with medium sized setae and macrosetae. Phallosome bilobed anteriorly ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 36–42 ), widened distally, external parameres rounded laterally, endophallic lobes broadly triangular, arms of internal parameres bow shaped, fused posteriorly on the midline. Epiproct semioval ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 36–42 ), emarginate apically, with rounded small tubercle meso-distally, with six setae mesally, posterior setal field as illustrated. Paraprocts ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 36–42 ) with medium sized setae and macrosetae as illustrated; mesal prong elongate and strongly curved apically; sensory fields with 21 trichobothria on basal rosettes.

Measurements. FW: 3300, HW: 2487, F: 820, T: 1460, t1: 570, t2: 40, t3: 75, ctt1: 31, f1: 600, f2: 460, Mx4: 200, IO: 220, D: 440, d: 330, IO/d: 0.67, PO: 0.75.

Specimens studied. Holotype male. COLOMBIA. Magdalena. Ciénaga, San Javier. 10°52’26.9”N : 74°01’38.0”W, 1621 m. 14–15.III.2016. O. Saenz, N. Carrejo & R. González. Led light trap in forest canopy. MUSENUV slide code 2890. 2 paratypes male, same data as the holotype GoogleMaps .

Etymology. This species is dedicated to the Kogui ethnic group, that inhabit the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
