Material examined. 7♂♂ 9♀♀, Chile, Maule Pr. Forel Carrizalillo, 250m, 1981. i.10–ii.5, coll. L.E.Pena ( USNM).

Remarks. Chileanoscopus hichinsi (Heller) distributed in central Chile. This species can be distinguished from other species of Chileanoscopus as follows: aedeagal shaft smooth, without processes, only slightly curved in lateral view; male tergal apodemes short.
