Type material. Lectotype designated herein: Nr 321/11126 (2871/339), SL: 18.8 mm, MD: 7.5 mm, illustrated in Kolesnikov (1935: pl. 28, fig. 35). TSNIGR Museum Saint-Petersburg (see also Romanovskaya et al. 1979).
Type locality. Letychiv ( Ukraine) .
Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, Sarmatian (Bessarabian).
Discussion. This taxon is based on a morph of Potamides taitboutii with strongly incised suture.
