Found at all altitudes. ex Carthamus tenuis : 1M and 1F, Ehden, Zgharta Co. (North Lebanon); 2M and 5F, Seraal, Zgharta Co. (North Lebanon). ex Centaurea eryngioides Lam. : 2M and 1F, Kfour El Arab, Batroun (North Lebanon). ex C. iberica : 2M, Bhamdoun, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon); 4M and 3F, Qaraoun, West Beqaa Co. (Beqaa Valley); 2M, Saofar, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon); 2F, Seraal, Zgharta Co. (North Lebanon); 2F, Ehden, Zgharta Co. (North Lebanon); 1M and 3M, Chtaura, Zahleh Co. (Beqaa Valley). ex C. iberica var. meryonis : 3F, Jamhour, Baabda Co. (Mount Lebanon); 1M and 2F, Bhamdoun, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon). ex C. pallescens : 1M and 2F, Zahleh, Zahleh Co. (Beqaa Valley); 2M and 1F, Amioun, Koura Co. (North Lebanon).

Urophora quadrifasciata sjumorum can be considered oligophagous as it attacked two genera of the Cardueae . It was reared from June to August, from Centaurea spp. and Carthamus tenuis , which is an unusual and new host for this species. In Asia, this subspecies is known from Turkey through to Pakistan ( White and Korneyev, 1989).
