Zoogeographic element. Euro-Caucasian.

Distribution. Boreo-montane species distributed from Northern Europe (Cental Scandianavia, Finland), to Central and East Europe ( Germany, Austria, Czech and Slowak republics, Poland, Romania and Ukraine); in South-Eastern Europe from the Balkan Peninsula ( Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) eastward to the Caucasus.

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records: Deia (LN97) (Hormuzachi 1901, 1904); Braşov (LL85), Turnu- Roşu (KL85), Ciucaş (ML04), Sighişoara (LM21), Haţeg (FR55), Predeal (LL83), Zärneşti (LL64), Cälimani (LN53) (all: Petri 1912, 1926); Bäile Herculane (FQ17), (Worell, 1940), Rodnei Mt., 1269 m (LN25) (Nitzu et al. 2008); Giumaläu Mt. (LN85) (Nitzu & Olenici 2009). Hypogeal records. Comarnic (MSS) (ER70), Cloşani (MSS) (FQ49) (both: Nitzu & Ilie 2004); P. 1200/10, 1200/110 din Cheile Vârghişului (LM82) (Nitzu et al. 2007) ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ).
