( Figures 7 View FIGURE 7 K–R, 11U)

Description. Length of male 5.5 mm. Coloration bright yellow tinged with orange; head with large median anterior preapical black spot on crown and smaller brown spot on frontoclypeus below each antenna; without additional dark markings. Head with crown acutely produced, median length ~1.3X longer than that of pronotum.

Front femur AM1 near midheight, IC with 10 fine setae, AV with 4 somewhat larger setae nearly continuous with IC row, PV with 9 short setae near midlength, stout distal seta absent; tibia with numerous short setae in rows PD, AD and PV, AV with numerous long macrosetae, distinct accessory row of 4 setae present between AD and AV. Hind tibia formula PD:AD:AV 26:13:15; tarsomere I pecten with 3 tapered setae,

Male pygofer slightly longer than tall, produced posterodorsally with posteroventral margin broadly concave, surface with few short fine setae scattered over distal half; ventral appendage arising near midlength and extended posterodorsad along ventral margin of lobe, acuminate with minute dorsal preapical spine, terminating slightly short of lobe apex. Segment X long, tubular, well sclerotized and darkly pigmented, without processes. Subgenital plate slightly longer than pygofer, lateral margin moderately expanded near midlength then gradually tapered to rounded apex, with submedial ventral row of 2–3 macrosetae in basal half, distal half with longitudinal band of shorter, stout setae medially and lateral band of long, fine setae. Style preapical lobe poorly developed, apophysis curved slightly laterad then abruptly bent mesad, footlike apex with heel rounded and toe relatively short and blunt tipped. Connective Y-shaped, short and narrow with stem approximately as long as anterior arms. Aedeagus with atrium forming bowl-like structure enclosing shaft, somewhat heart-shaped in posterior view; shaft elongate, slender, tubular, slightly but evenly arcuate and gradually tapered from base to apex; apex strongly bent anterad and terminating in pair of short distal spines; gonopore preapical on posterior surface.

Etymology. The species name refers to the arcuate ventral margin of the male pygofer lobe.

Material examined. Holotype male, VIETNAM: Ninh Binh, Cuc Phuong NP, park rd. km 29, 20.3363ºN 105.6094ºE, 350m, 8 July 2019 C.H.Dietrich, Hg. vapor light, VN19-4-1( VNMN). Paratype, 1 female, same data ( INHS) GoogleMaps .

Notes. This species is similar to Carinata midfasciata Wang & Li , described from China and recently recorded from India ( Viraktamath & Webb 2018), but differs in having the male pygofer lobe concave posteroventrally with a much shorter and more slender process, the subgenital plate with fewer macrosetae and with a lateral preapical band of shorter setae, the style preapical heel rounded, the aedeagal atrium short and extended around the base of the shaft, and the aedeagal shaft evenly tapered with the distal recurved spines more slender and the gonopore on the posterior preapical surface.

Notes. This species was described from southern China and more recently recorded from India ( Viraktamath & Webb 2018). It is here recorded from Vietnam for the first time.
