Canthidium clypeale Harold, 1867a: 43 View in CoL [here transferred to the subgenus Canthidium View in CoL ]. Type locality: Brazil (“ Brasilien ”). Type material: Location of most syntypes unknown (originally deposited at the Haag collectionsee C. puncticolle View in CoL for details on this collection); according to Bezděk & Hájek (2012), one unsexed syntype in NMPC—ex Nickerl collection. Distribution: Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
