Distribution. This species was previously recorded from South Africa ( Uvarov 1922, Dirsh 1956b) and Lesotho ( Dirsh 1956b).
Remarks. This genus was erected by Uvarov (1922) on the basis of its shape of prosternal tubercle and of its male genitalia, this genus is related to Calliptamicus . Its taxonomic status is not satisfactory, it has four possible undescribed species in the SANC collection.
