Brachyllus langeri Keith, 2008: 321 [original description].

Type material examined. None.

Additional material examined. 1♁ ( ZMPC), CHINA: Yunnan, Dehong Pref., Longchuan County, Mt. Banggunjianshan , 1600 m, 2022.VIII.11, Yu-Chen Zheng, Zu-Qi Mai & Yue-Zheng Tu leg.

Remarks. An additional specimen of B. langeri was collected from Mt. Banggunjianshan, circa 160 km southwest to Panwar, the type locality. When describing B. langeri, Keith (2008) did not compare it with B. rougeriei Keith, 2003 . However, the authors noticed a close resemblance between the two taxa. In B. langeri , general body color is more blackish, punctures on pronotum are slightly denser and apex of paramere is somewhat truncated in lateral view (rounded in B. rougeriei ). Considering the minor differences in both external and genital features, the authors suggest to treat B. langeri as a subspecies of B. rougeriei .
