Diagnosis. Cercal plate elongated, the narrow distal half reaching level of apices of surstyli and bearing long setae. Surstylus short and narrow, not bifurcate apically. Processes of sternite 5 short and with an inwardly directed pointed apex.

Species included in this group from China are B. askoldica (Schnabl in Schnabl & Dziedzicki, 1911) and B. peltophora ( Li, Cui & Fan, 1993) .
