Anthaxia (Cylindrophora) bucki Cobos, 1956: 162 View in CoL –164. Anthaxia (Cylindrophora) kafkai Bílý, 1996 View in CoL , syn. n.
Having studied the holotype of Anthaxia bucki View in CoL (MNCN) and comparing it with the holotype of A. kafkai View in CoL (NMPC), I find them to be conspecific and consider A. kafkai View in CoL a new junior subjective synonym of A. bucki View in CoL . Unfortunately Cobos (1956) in his description published an illustration of A. bucki View in CoL (Fig. 78) which strongly differs from the holotype (illustrated specimen possesses posteriorly strongly enlarged elytra and nearly convex pronotum); having relied on the illustration, I described this species once more.
Distribution: Brazil, Argentina.
