Distribution.

Brazil (Pernambuco), French Guiana, Paraguay, and Venezuela ( Falcón).

Remarks.

This species is thus far known only from a few closely-situated localities near the Caribbean coast of Falcón State where it was found in ponds and a roadside ditch. Oliva (2007) records this species from northern Brazil, French Guiana and Paraguay (Central), always in small numbers, and suggests that this species might have a widespread South American distribution, like Berosus patruelis Berg. The findings from Venezuela suggest this is species associated with the Orinoco basin and the coastal plains between the latter and the mouth of the Amazonas, and that Paraguay may be the southern limit of its distribution
