Description. See Forest (1987a: 70) and McLaughlin & Lemaitre (2009: 184).

Size. Largest male sl 8.0 mm, largest female sl 7.8 mm, ovigerous females sl 5.4–7.8 mm.

Habitat. Hollows in sunken wood or scaphopod (tusk) shells (Forest 1987a; Komai & Hung 2000; McLaughlin & Lemaitre 2009; this study).

Distribution. Previously known from Taiwan, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu; 380–2149 m, possibly to 2217 m (McLaughlin & Lemaitre 2009). Newly recorded from Papua New Guinea.
