COMMON NAME (S): Cats Eyed Emperor. SYNONYM(S): Aurivillius horsini Bouvier, 1927a.

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, South Africa,

Togo, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue, in Lusaka Province; Kasempa, in Northwestern Province; Mporokoso in Northern Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: five Fabaceae species ( Albizia gummifera (J.F.Gmel.) C.A.Sm. , Peltophorum africanum Sond. , Piptadenia sp. , Newtonia buchananii (Baker) G.C.C.Gilbert & Boutiqu and Albizia adianthifolia (Schum.) W.Wight ) in South Africa; one Mimosaceae species ( Parkia biglobosa (Jacq.)

G.Don) in Nigeria; and two Fabaceae species ( Acacia baileyana F.Muell. , A. sassa (Willd.) Baillon ex

Drake), one Myrtaceae species ( Psidium guajava L.) and one Euphorbiaceae species ( Ricinus communis

L.) in unnamed countries elsewhere in Africa . No specific host plants of the taxon have been reported for Zambia.
