( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 1−6 , 13–14 View FIGURES 7−18 )

Type material. Holotype, male, BRAZIL: Ilhabela; ii–[19]53; Rabello col. ( MZSP).

Diagnosis: Eye diameter 1.8× longer than interocular distance. Maxillary palpomere 2 twice longer than 3. Pronotum 1.2× wider than long, median longitudinal carina at apical 1/4 and areola occupying the median 2/4, connected to the posterior margin by a basal carina. Elytra with yellow humeral region and median transversal band increasing in thickness towards marginal costae, with ellipsoidal dark brown spots in basal 1/2 and distal 1/3 ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1−6 ). Phallus curved medially in lateral view, apex slightly ventrally oriented, with sharp and slightly curved apical and subapical projections dorsally-oriented ( Fig. 13a, b View FIGURES 7−18 ), parameres with ventral subapical thorns ( Fig. 13c View FIGURES 7−18 ).

Description: Basal 3/4 of maxillary palpomere 2 yellow. Trochanters yellow, basal 1/3 of median femur yellow. Pronotum dark brown with lateral sides yellow and anterior margin light brown. Elytra with yellow humeral region and median transversal band increasing in thickness towards marginal costae, with ellipsoidal dark brown spots in basal half and distal 1/3 ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1−6 ).

Eye diameter 1.8× longer than interocular distance. Antennomeres 3−5 almost of the same length. Maxillary palpomere 2 as long as 4 and twice longer than 3. Pronotum 1.2× wider than long, median longitudinal carina bifurcating in anterior 1/4 forming areola almost occupying basal 3/4, connected directly to the posterior margin ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1−6 ). Scutellum with posterior margin shallowly emarginated. Prosternum trapezoidal, mesoventrite trapezoidal. Elytra 4.3× longer than humeral width, intercostal intervals with irregular cells. Hind femora 3× longer than trochanter length. Male genitalia with short phallus, curved medially in lateral view, with dorsally-oriented apical and subapical projections, apex of phallus slightly ventrally-oriented ( Figs. 13a, b View FIGURES 7−18 ); parameres elongate, almost as long as phallus, slightly tapering towards the apex ventral view, apically rounded with ventral subapical strong thorns ( Fig. 13c View FIGURES 7−18 ) and joined basally by a ring-like bridge, phallobase asymmetrical and 2/3 as long as parameres length ( Fig. 13–14 View FIGURES 7−18 ). Body length: 5.6 mm, humeral width: 1.3 mm.
