Asulconotus acarinatus , sp. nov. ( Figs 16–21 View FIGURES 16–21 , 36–37 View FIGURES 32–39 )

Description. Male. Small size.

Head. Head 0.9 times shorter than pronotum; frons oblique, together with vetex foming a round angle in lateral view; fastigium triangular, apex roundly angular, dorsum roundly swelling without any median carina, lateral carinae distinct, fastigial foveolae absent; vertex between eyes 1.8 times as wide as frontal costa between antennae; frontal costa broad and shallowly concave near median ocellus, lateral margins nearly parallel. Antennae thick, 21 segments, just reaching hind margin of pronotum, basal 3 rd –7 th segments weakly compassed, median segment (9 th – 11 th) mean 1.3 times as long as wide. Eyes roundly triangular, longitudinal diameter 1.3 times horizontal diameter and 1.1 times the length of subocular furrow. Lateral and median ocelli small.

Thorax. Pronotum with anteral margin faintly sinuate, posterior margin deeply incised in the middle; median distinct, lateral carinae absent or very blurry; prozona 3.0 times as long as metazona. Mesosternal interspace trapezoidal, minimum width 1.5 times larger than length; metasternal lobes separate. Tegmen abbreviated, 4.0 times as long as wide, lateral, apex sharply rounded, reaching hind margin of 3 rd abdominal tergite or reaching 1/4 of hind femur; anterior margin straight, precostal area invisible. Hind wing vestigial. Hind femur 4.8 times longer than wide, inner side with 47 thick conical stridulatory pegs. Hind tibia with 11 inter spines or 10 outer spines on both dorsal margins, outer apical spine absent.

Abdomen. Tympanum developed. 10 th abdominal tergite excised in middle, without furculae.Epiproct triangular, as long as wide, shallowly furrowed at basal half, with a transverse carina in middle, apex triangularly protruding in middle. Cerci long conical, reaching apex of epiproct, apex blunt. Subgenital plate long conical, apex bluntly acute. Epiphallus with bridge semicircular; lateral plate with outer-lower corner roundly angular; lophi nearly cylindrical, distal and basal portions densely interspersed with granules; anchorae finger-like, pointing ahead and ventrad.

Coloration. Head and thorax greenish yellow; abdomen with dorsum and venter greenish-yellow, profile brown. Antennae with basal segments brown, others dark. Eye brown. Tegmen brown. Hind femur with outer side greenishyellow, interspersing brown maculations. Hind tibia light red.

Female. Similar to male, but body stout, eyes longitudinal diameter 1.2 times horizontal diameter and 0.8 times the length of subocular furrow; vertex between eyes 2.0 times as wide as frontal costa between antennae; tegmen reaching the half of 2 nd abdominal tergite. Subgenital plate oblong, acutely protruding in the middle. Upper ovipositor valves with upper-outer margin nearly smooth, edge of lower ovipositor valve nearly smooth, with a thick tooth near extremity.

Measurements (mm). Length of body: ♁15.5, ♀ 21.5–24.5; length of pronotum: ♁ 3.3, ♀ 4.3–4.6; length of hind femur: ♁ 10.0, ♀ 11.5–12.0.

Type material. Holotype: ♁, China, Sichuan, Ganzi (Lendagou), 31.72° N, 99.60° E, alt. 3810 m, 27 Aug. 2020, collected by Zhi-Pan Huang. GoogleMaps Paratypes. 5♀, same data, deposited in BMDU GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. This species characterised by the blurry lateral carinae of pronotum is obviously different from the other members of the genus Asulconotus .
