TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MRSN): 21.64 / 682 / Aspilia Rond. / pubicheta Rond., Alpi , ♀; 1 ♀, syntype ( MRSN): 93 56 / 688 / Aspilia Rond. / pubicheta Rond., Alpi , ♀; 1 ♀, syntype ( MRSN): [illegible label] / 687 / Aspilia Rond. / pubicheta Rond., Alpi , ♀.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Thricops aculeipes ( Zetterstedt, 1838) ( Pont 1986b: 65) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1871a: 317) described Aspilia pubicheta without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens, received from L. Bellardi. Hennig (1961: 228) reported three female types in the MRSN. We also found three female syntypes in this study.
