COMMON NAME (S): Gracillariine leaf-miner.
SYNONYM(S): None.
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Nigeria, Réunion, S„o Tomé and Príncipe, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants for the taxon in South Africa are two Verbenaceae species Lantana rugosa Thunb. and Lippia asperifolia Rchb. Elsewhere in Africa the Verbenaceae species Lantana camara L. and Lippia javanica (Burm.f.) Spreng. have been indicated as host plants where these plant species and the taxon exist. No host plant for the taxon has been indicated for Zambia but Lantana camara exists in the country and hence it could be the host plant or one of the host plants for the taxon in the country.
