Aleuonota (Apimela) sabulicola BERNHAUER, 1914: 5 View in CoL .

Meotica quadraticollis SCHEERPELTZ, 1954a: 155 View in CoL ; nov.syn.

Type material: Lectotype ♀, present designation: "♂ / Rotentm. Pass, Translv. Breit / ex coll. Breit / ex coll. Scheerpeltz / Typus Meotica quadraticollis O. Scheerpeltz View in CoL / Apimela View in CoL , J. Muona det. / Lectotypus ♀ Meotica quadraticollis Scheerpeltz View in CoL , V. Gusarov des. 1996 / Apimela sabulicola Bh. View in CoL V.I. Gusarov det. 1996" ( NHMW).

Comment: The original description of Meotica quadraticollis is based on an unspecified number of syntypes from "den transsylvanischen Alpen (Rotenturmpass)" ( SCHEERPELTZ 1954a). Only one syntype was located in the Scheerpeltz collection. The specimen was examined, labelled as the lectotype, and identified as Apimela sabulicola by Vladimir Gusarov (Oslo). With his consent, the lectotype designation is here published.
