Anthophora leucomelaena , which is not mentioned in FRIESE (1915) and EARDLEY & URBAN (2010), is known from the Palaearctic Region (e.g. Yemen). The record from Eritrea by INNES BEY (1911) is doubtful, because WALKER (1871) described the species from Egypt ( Cairo).
