Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 2.0– 4.3 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna of holo- type testaceous, except antennomeres 6–10 brown; antenna of paratype brown, except scape and pedicel testaceous; mesosoma black; in specimen from South Africa, Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, pronotum and mesoscutum black, with reddish-dark nuances; metasoma brown; holotype with proleg testaceous, mesoleg testaceous (except coxae, femora, tibiae and tarsomere 5 darkened), metaleg brown (except trochanters and tarsomeres 1–4 testaceous); paratype with legs brown, except tarsi, articulations, protibia and stalks of femora testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 10:5:6:5:3.5:5:5:6:5:6.5. Head dull, granulate, with numerous slight and irregular areolae; frontal line complete; POL = 8; OL = 5; OOL = 4; OPL = 6; TL = 6; occipital carina complete. Pronotum shiny, smooth, with anterior surface transversely striate; posterior surface slightly granulate, very long, shorter than mesoscutum (11: 18 in holotype; 14: 18 in large specimen (4.3 mm) from South Africa, 32°32.033’S 25°14.267’E), slightly broader than long (17:11); pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Mesoscutum slightly granulate. Notauli incomplete, shortly visible near anterior margin of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, with strong transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity without longitudinal keels, dull, reticulate rugose, with areolae less wide than those of metapectal-propodeal disc. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:7); in specimen from South Africa, Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, forewing with two slightly infuscate transverse bands and distal part of 2rrs&Rs vein more than 0.5 × as long as proximal part (5:3). In specimen from Democratic Republic of the Congo, 04°15’S 17°10’E, forewing with two dark transverse bands. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 6:2:3:9:18. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 78F View FIGURE 78 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 78F View FIGURE 78 ) with basal part much shorter than distal part (6:13), with two rows of about 46 lamellae; apex with approximately 16 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
