Anteon medleri Olmi 1984: 395 .

Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 2.2–2.6 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown, except scape and pedicel testaceous (in two specimens from Tanzania, Mkomazi Game Reserve, and South Africa, Ukulinga, antenna testaceous-brown, except scape, pedicel and flagellomeres 1–2 testaceous); mesosoma and metasoma black; tegula testaceous; legs brown, except tibiae and tarsi testaceous (in two specimens from Tanzania, Mkomazi Game Reserve, and South Africa, Ukulinga, legs testaceous, except metacoxa slightly darkened). Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 9:5:6:5:5:5:5:5:5:7. Head dull, granulate, with few slight areolae near clypeus (in two specimens from Tanzania, Mkomazi Game Reserve, and South Africa, Ukulinga, head granulate, with slightly distinct areolae present on entire surface); frontal line present; frons without lateral keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; occipital carina complete; POL = 5; OL = 4; OOL = 5; OPL = 6; TL = 6. Pronotum dull, granulate, with smooth and unsculptured stripe at posterior margin; anterior half with numerous transverse keels; posterior surface very long, more than 0.5 × as long as mesoscutum; pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Mesoscutum dull, granulate (in specimen from South Africa, 29°39’23’’S 30°27’41’’E, mesoscutum granulate and with some slight areolae and irregular keels on lateral regions). Notauli absent. In specimen from Cameroon, Nkoemvon, notauli shortly present near anterior margin. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (2:5). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 6:2:2:2.5:8. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 63A View FIGURE 63 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 63A View FIGURE 63 ) with basal part longer than apical part (5:3), with one row of 7–8 lamellae; apex with 5–6 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

♂. Fully winged; body length 1.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs testaceous, except metacoxa, metafemur and distal region of metatibia brownish.Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 6:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:6. Head dull, granulate; frontal line absent; frons without lateral keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; occipital carina complete; POL = 4; OL = 2.5; OOL = 4; OPL = 2; TL = 4. Mesoscutum shiny, smooth, slightly punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity without longitudinal keels, completely reticulate rugose. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (2:4). Paramere ( Fig. 65A View FIGURE 65 ) with distal inner rounded process, without proximal membranous process. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
