Figs 3F, G View FIGURE 3 , Table 3

Material. SibGIU 12/26 (sections).

Description. Encrusting colony, 0.89–1.25 mm in thickness. The central hollow cylinder is 0.20x 0.24 mm in diameter. Autozooecia growing from 0.02 mm thick epitheca. Exozone indistinctly separated from endozone. Autozooecia having polygonal cross sections. Autozooecial apertures rounded-polygonal. Straight and inclined autozooecial diaphragms abundant; located at a distance of 0.04–0.10 mm (more often 0.08 mm). Exilazooecia rare, short. Acanthostyles having distinct cores and laminated sheaths. Autozooecial wall 0.01 mm thick in endozone and irregularly thickened in exozones. Maculae not observed.

Comparison. The present material is similar to A. pervulgatus Lavrentjeva, 2001 from the lower Famennian of Transcaucasia ( Lavrentjeva 2001), but differs in small acanthostyles (0.02 mm vs. 0.04–0.08 mm in A. pervulgatus ). The present material differs from A. pojarkovi Modzalevskaya, 1968 from the lower Famennian of Western Talas (Southern Tien-Shan) in shape of colony (encrusting vs. branched in A. pojarkovi ), smaller apertures (0.12–0.16 mm vs. 0.21–0.26 mm in A. pojarkovi ), presence of diaphragms in endo- and exozone ( Modzalevskaya & Orlovskij 1968). The available material is not sufficient to make a comprehensive comparison.

Stratigraphical and geographical ranges. Ermaksy Formation, lower-middle Famennian (upper Devonian); Karatau, Zhankurgan outcrop, Kazakhstan.
