Distribution. Stål (1854) described A. discolor from Taiti? (sic) and later was recorded from Ecuador ( Campos 1925). The genus has an exclusive Neotropical distribution therefore, I consider that the original data was a result of a mistaken label.
Ecuador: Guayaquil ( Campos 1925, Packauskas 2010).
Type material examined. Holotype female: Taiti (sic), Kinb. (NHRS).
Material examined. New records. 1 male, Ecuador, Manabi, Pedernales , 24-I-1999, leg. G. Onore ( UNAM) . 1 female, Ecuador, Los Rios Quevedo, 2-V-1986, leg. D. H. Habeck ( FSCA) .
Biological notes. Associated with Passiflora edulis Sims (Passifloraceae) .
