Andrena limassolica Mavromoustakis, 1948: 574 . ♀, ♂. Type locality: Cyprus, Limassol. Type depository: ZGLC .

Distribution: Cyprus, Jordan.

Flight period: January–March.

Flower records: Liliaceae : Gagea chlorantha (16♀, 10♂) ( Mavromoustakis 1948); Rosaceae : Prunus dulcis (1♀).

Material examined: CYPRUS: Limassol,?. i.1936, G. Mavromoustakis (1♂) ; 16.ii.49 (2♀) (ES, SMNHTAU); JORDAN: Ajlun district, Ebbin , 5.iii.2002, M. Salem, on Prunus dulcis (1♀) ( JUST) .

Remarks. This is the first record of the species from the Levant.
