Differential diagnosis. The species differs from all other species mainly by the surface of the pronotum. Instead of the two sulci, the African species shows a wide paramedian and paralateral longitudinal cloud of distinct punctures and the Neotropical species displays smaller longitudinal bands of punctures. In addition, the abdomen does not show punctures as in the other members but a distinct isodiametric reticulation.
Distribution. Mali and Senegal.
