Subgenus Amphyginus Haliday, 1841

Third antennomere without pubescence. Mentum tooth bifid. Pronotal laterobasal seta removed from side margin. Lateral bead of prosternal process present. Parascutellar seta present. Elytra glabrous, with 4-6 discal setae in the third interval; discal setae absent in the fifth and seventh intervals. Elytral microsculpture nearly isodiametric. Metepisternum elongated. Male protarsomeres not dilated. Lateral grooves present on metatarsomeres I-IV. Apical gonocoxite moderately elongated, slender, with two ensiform setae at external margin; sensory pit of apical gonocoxite well developed.Aedeagus left side up in repose; median lobe apical disc absent; apical hook of long paramere present; membranous lobe of short paramere present.
