Amblypsilopus subabruptus Bickel & Wei, 1996 View in CoL
Amblypsilopus subabruptus Bickel & Wei, 1996: 267 View in CoL . Type locality: China: Guizhou, Shibing.
Amblypsilopus sinensis Yang & Yang, 2003: 268 View in CoL . Type locality: China: Fujian, Jianou. syn. nov.
Diagnosis. Antenna black, arista-like stylus apical, 1.5 times longer than head-width. Fore tarsomere I–II with row of dispersive distributed crocheted pv; apical 1/5 of fore tarsomere I with rows of dense pale ventral bristles. Surstylus bifurcated apically; cercus narrow and long, nearly 2.0 times as long as epandrium.
Type material examined. A. sinensis : HOLOTYPE, ♂ labelled: China. Fujian Province, Jianou City, Dongfeng , 1986. VIII.28, Chen NZ . PARATYPES: 2 ♀, same data as holotype .
Material examined. China. Tibet: 2 ♂, Nyingchi, Zayu, Dongjiong [N28°62′ E97°49′], 1570 m, 1978. VI.24 , sweep nets, Fasheng Li (CAU).
Remarks. The illustrations of A. subabruptus and A. sinensis are alike and the remarkable crocheted pv on fore tarsomere I–II is mentioned in both descriptions. Comparing the type specimens of A. sinensis , we found that the male genitalia is the same as the illustration of A. subabruptus when the viewing angle is altered. The color of the bristles on the coxae of the type specimens of A. sinensis is yellow, as described, but there is a pair of tiny additional pores on the scutum indicating the existence of acr, which were described in Bickel & Wei (1996). Considering the other features of the specimens, we regard A. sinensis as a synonym of A. subabruptus .
Distribution. China (Tibet, Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Henan, Sichuan, Yunnan).
