Prionognathus marmoratus Carter, Ingram & Macfie, 1921: 312 (male, female, Ghana).
Alluaudomyia marmorata: Macfie 1947: 76 View in CoL (female, Sudan); Boorman & van Harten 2002: 450 (female, Yemen).
Diagnosis. This species can be recognized by having following features: wing with two small dark spots, one covering end of the costa, second one covering the cross vein; female claws long, equal and simple on all legs. Females have two seminal capsules with diverticula; parameres in male genitalia stout, short and arch-shaped, end of gonostyle thin and sharp ( Carter et al. 1921).
Distribution. Afrotropical species reported from Ghana and Sudan. In Middle East recorded only from Yemen.
