Porallozetes Balogh & Balogh, 1992

Type species: Allozetes dispar Hammer, 1973

Diagnosis (some generic characters are listed in Balogh & Balogh 1992). Adult. Rostrum rounded; rostral setae inserted dorso-laterally on prodorsum; bothridial setae with developed head, not covered by anterior margin of notogaster; bothridial wall distally expanded to form scales; lamellae of medium size, strong; lamellar cusps short, truncate, clearly not reaching insertions of rostral setae; translamella absent; transverse ridge present close and anterior to each lamella; tutoria lamelliform, with cusps pointed distally; pedotecta I represented by large laminae; genal teeth long, reaching insertions of rostral setae; porose areas Am and Ah present, Ah expressed as saccule, Al absent; anterior notogastral margin well developed or interrupted medially; pteromorphs well-developed; dorsophragmata distinctly separated; lenticulus absent; posterior notogastral tectum entire; notogaster with porose areas; ten pairs of setiform notogastral setae; axillary saccules present; custodia, discidia and circumpedal carinae present; sejugal apodemes and apodemes III distinct, long, almost connected medially, located on level of anterior margin of genital aperture; six pairs of genital, one pair of aggenital, two pairs of anal and three pairs of adanal setae; postanal porose area present; monodactylous.

Juvenile instars. Unknown.

Remarks. Subías (2004, online version 2015) included Porallozetes as a subgenus of Pentazetes Balogh & Balogh, 1983 , however, we support the generic status of Porallozetes.

Validity. Balogh & Balogh (1992: p. 151) proposed the genus Porallozetes, but they did not present generic diagnosis, and type species was not designated ON the same page. However, the main morphological traits of this genus were listed (see Balogh & Balogh 1992) in Table (p. 114) and in the key of ceratozetoids (p. 145). According to ICZN (see Article 13.1), this information is sufficient for generic diagnosis. Also, reference (p. 114) to figures (308A, B on p. 312) to the only species included in Porallozetes —given as a new combination in the figure caption, Porallozetes dispar (Hammer, 1973) —was given, therefore, the type species designation is unambiguous. Hence, we consider Porallozetes a valid genus.
