Type material: Male holotype and female allotype from Arizona, Grand Canyon, Colorado River-side, mile 169, Oct. 27, 1982, V. Roth ( AMNH). EXAMINED.

Etymology: The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality Grand Canyon National Park, USA.

Diagnosis: Males and females are diagnosed by their abdominal patterns ( Figs 330, 331 View FIGURES 326 – 335 ). Males are distinguished by their unique small, pointed dorsal cymbial tubercle ( Fig. 327 View FIGURES 326 – 335 ) and their elongated retrolateral tibial apophysis ( Fig. 326 View FIGURES 326 – 335 ). Female are differentiated from all other Agyneta by their uniquely long and narrow proximal part of scape ( Fig. 332 View FIGURES 326 – 335 ).

Description: Male: Total length 1.64; carapace length 0.78, width 0.64.
