Trox obscurus : Nakane & Tsukamoto 1955: 87 (specimens of Japan, key); Kim 2012: 4, 20 (specimens of Korea, treated as a valid species: Omorgus obscurus ).

Type depository. Syntype (male) at NHRS ( Figs. 6–7 ) .

Type locality. “ China (Hong Kong)” .

Distribution. Cambodia, China (including Taiwan), Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam ( Masumoto et al. 2005; Kim 2012; Pittino & Bezdĕk 2016; Schoolmeesters 2023).
