Current name: Quercus cerris L. View in CoL ( Fagaceae ).

Note: Several authors, including Brullo & al. (in Webbia 54: 13. 1999), have treated 1128.33 (LINN) as the type but it was sent by Scopoli, and not received by Linnaeus until 1762 so it is not original material for the name.
