Lectotype (designated here by Reveal): Clayton 157 (BM-000038187).

Current name: Polygala cruciata L. ( Polygalaceae ).

Note: Although Fernald & Schubert (in Rhodora 50: 164. 1948) discussed the identity of Clayton 157 (BM), they did not typify the name.
