Indonesia records: South coast of Kangean Island ( Bali Sea), Sailus Kecil Island, Tampaang ( Flores Sea), Siau Island ( Maluku Sea) and between Geser and Ceram Laut Islands (Seram Sea) ( Hansen 1910). Depth range: Non-closing vertical net at 22 m and plankton net at the sea surface ( Hansen 1910).

Tattersall 1943), Japan ( Ii 1964; Fukuoka & Murano 1997; Murano & Fukuoka 2008), South China Sea ( Wang & Liu 1994; Liu & Wang 2000; Murano & Fukuoka 2008), Australia ( Lowry & Stoddart 2003) and Palau Island ( Hanamura & De Grave 2004).
