Indonesia records: Sailus Kecil Island, Kawasang Island and Tampaang ( Flores Sea) ( Hansen 1910). Depth range: Plankton net from 10 m to the sea surface ( Hansen 1910).

Global distribution: This species is distributed in Australia (W.M. Tattersall 1936; Lowry & Stoddart 2003; Talbot 2009), Micronesia (W.M. Tattersall 1951; Ii 1964); Philippines (W.M. Tattersall 1951; Murano & Fukuoka 2008) and Japan ( Fukuoka & Murano, 1997; Murano & Fukuoka 2008).
