Sinopoda kieo View in CoL spec. nov.
Figs 21 View FIGURES 21 a–d, 59 c–d
Type material: Holotype: female (SD 1570), LAOS: Vientiane Province: Vang Vieng, N of Ban Phoxay, Tham Kieo , N19°00.880’, E102°25.902’, 286 m, by hand, 02 December 2012, P. Jäger leg ( SMF). GoogleMaps
Etymology: The species name is derived from the type locality; term in apposition.
Diagnosis: Females of S. kieo spec. nov. are similar to those of S. aenyk spec. nov. ( Figs. 1 View FIGURES 1 a–b) in having strongly developed lateral lobes, glandular appendages extending anteriorly and situated ventrally of internal duct system and a simple internal duct system with narrow ducts inside which are not fused along median line. They can be distinguished from the latter species by 1. lateral lobes fused without visible seam, anterior part not bulged, posterior part with wide median indentation (fused with visible seam running from epigastric furrow to copulatory opening, posterior part with small, deep median indentation, anterior part bulging anteriorly in S. aenyk spec. nov.), 2. copulatory atrium nearly about twice the size in S. kieo spec. nov. as compared to S. aenyk spec. nov., 3. glandular appendages visible in ventral and dorsal view (only visible in ventral view in S. aenyk spec. nov.) and 4. fertilization ducts with proximal part as wide as distal part (distal part wider than proximal part in S. aenyk spec. nov.).
Description: Female (holotype): Total length 11.70; prosoma 5.00 long, 4.30 wide, anterior width of prosoma 3.20; opisthosoma 6.70 long, 3.90 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.23; ALE 0.40; PME 0.26; PLE 0.41; AME–AME 0.23; AME–ALE 0.11; PME–PME 0.37; PME–PLE 0.48; AME–PME 0.34; ALE–PLE 0.43; clypeus AME 0.29; clypeus ALE 0.23. Measurements of palp and legs [IV: missing]: palp: 6.90 (2.00, 1.00, 1.60, 2.30); I: 18.50 (5.10, 2.10, 5.10, 4.60, 1.60); II: 21.70 (6.10, 2.30, 6.20, 5.30, 1.80); III: 18.00 (5.20, 2.00, 4.90, 4.40, 1.50). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2121, 2124; legs: Fe I–III 323; Pa I–III 000; Ti I–II 1026, III 2026; Mt I–II 0006, III 1006. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.
Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma brown, median part yellowish-orange, anteriorly with yellow patch at PLE, lateral margin dark brown, laterally and posteriorly with dark brown U-shaped pattern, posteriorly with transversal yellow stripe. Sternum yellowish-white with brown margin. Opisthosoma yellowish-grey with brown spots, ventral part yellowish-brown with brown spots laterally. Chelicerae reddish-brown, postero-laterally with orange spot. Palps reddish-brown. Legs yellowish-brown; Fe medio-dorsally, proximally and distally with brown stripe, Ti distally brown.
Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long without anterior bands and slit sensilla. Lateral lobes bulging extremely ventrally. Copulatory atrium situated at posterior half. Epigynal pockets running from latero-posterior to medio-posterior with acute angle, extending only in posterior half. Fusion bubbles situated posteriorly and medially on epigyne. Internal duct system wider than long. Glandular appendages rounded. Fertilization ducts situated posteriorly, long.
Male: Unknown.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
