Lectotype: ♂ (# MZSP 04483 View Materials ), BRASIL, Pará , 06.vi.1902, Ducke.
Original name: Chrysis paraensis Ducke, 1903: 227 . Lectotype designed by Bohart in Kimsey & Bohart, 1990: 516.
Paralectotype: 1 ♂ (# MZSP 04484 View Materials ), same data except 22.iv.1902 .
Comments: Bohart in Kimsey & Bohart, 1991 does not clearly define in the publication the Lectotype. Both specimens bears determination labels from Bohart, however the specimen # MZSP 04483 View Materials bears a red syntype label also from Bohart which indicates that this specimen is the Lectotype. There is one male specimen from Pará (06.v.1902), labelled ‘type’ at Natural History Museum , Bern (Obrecht & Huber, 1993) and one ‘syntype’ from Pará (26.ix.1901) at Museu Paraense Emilio Goeldi (Nascimento, 1979) which are part of the paralectotype series .
