Distribution and habitat.
Collected from a paddy field stream in Kota Marudu, and from a pond in Nabawan.
Remarks.
Sinotaia guangdungensis is native to Southern China and has to date, been introduced to Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia ( Ng et al. 2014). This is a first record for Sabah.
