Male. Body medium for the tribe Meconematini . Fastigium verticis conical, comparatively stout and short, apex obtusely rounded, with dorsal longitudinal sulcus. Eyes globular, obviously protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi slightly shorter than subapical one, apex enlarged.

Pronotum protruding backwards, anterior margin nearly straight, posterior margin semicircular, posterior sulcus distinct, metazona slightly raised; lateral lobe short, high almost equal to long, humeral sinus indistinct. Procoxa with a long spine, femora without spines on ventral margin, protibiae with 4 and 5 spines on internal and external sides of ventral margin separately, and with a pair of apical spurs on ventral margin, tibial tympana open on internal and external sides, long-oval. Mesotibiae with 4 and 5 spines on inner and outer sides of ventral margin separately. Posttibiae with 25–28 spines on internal and external sides of dorsal margin, geniculate lobe obtusely rounded. Tegmina surpassing hind knees, apices obtusely rounded, hind wings longer than tegmina.

Ninth abdominal tergite obviously protruding backwards, middle area thin, the basal part on ventral margin with a pair of leaf-shaped processes, apical area enlarged, square-shaped, dorsal margin flat, ventral margin prominent ventrad, posterior margin truncate. Tenth abdominal tergite with posterior margin obviously concave, symmetric, lateral area enlarged backwards. Cerci asymmetric, basal portion broad, separated into two branches, dorsal branch long, curved internally and dorsally, apical area slightly broadened, planate, apex blunt; ventral branch of left cercus curved inwards, basal area thin, slightly twisted, apical area enlarged; ventral branch of right cercus long, curved inwards, middle area thin, apical area slightly enlarged. Subgenital plate feebly oblong, basal part slightly broad, posterior margin truncate. Styli cylindric on lateral margins of apical area of subgenital plate.

Coloration. Body green. Eyes yellowish brown. Posterior margin of tegmina light yellowish brown. Tibia spines with apices yellowish brown.

Female. Cerci thin and long, middle area stout, apices acute, with many thin hairs. Ovipositor long, basal part stout, slightly curved dorsally, apices of ventral valves hook-shaped. Subgenital plate with broad base, lateral margins curved dorsally, posterior area narrow, apex straight, centre slightly convex.

Measurements(mm). Body: 312.0, Ƥ12.5; pronotum: 33.8–4.0, Ƥ3.6; tegmina: 318.0–19.5, Ƥ20.5; postfemora: 39.5–10.5, Ƥ10.5; ovipositor: Ƥ11.0.

Type material. Holotype, male, Yangbi, Yunnan, 16 August, 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li. Paratypes, 1 male and 2 females, Yangbi, Yunnan, 16 August, 2009, 1 female, Tengchong (Mountains Gaoligong), Yunnan, 9 August, 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li.

Discussion. The new species resembles A. cyclolamina Liu & Zhang, 2007 , but it differs from it in: ninth abdominal tergite of male obviously protruding posteriorly, middle area thin, apical area enlarged, squareshaped, posterior margin truncate; cerci of male asymmetric, dorsal branch thin and long, apex slightly enlarged, ventral branch curved inward, basal area thin, apical area enlarged.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from male’s ninth abdominal tergite morphology.
