Generic placement in doubt; some authors place both fausta and lateralis in Sathon . Papp (1983) synonymised fausta under Apanteles eugeni Papp, 1972 but later ( Papp 1988) rescinded his action. Unfortunately Papp (1972) had chosen a non-reared specimen as holotype but a paratype of eugeni reared from Anthophila fabriciana (Linnaeus) is in BMNH and appears to be conspecific with fausta (described from this host). It seems probable that Papp's ( Papp 1983) synonymy was justified but, as this requires further investigation, the name fausta is retained for now.
