Type Locality: Ethiopia, Belegaz Valley, between Semian and Wogara.
Vernacular Names: Ethiopian Woolly Bat.
Distribution: Ethiopia.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 – Not evaluated; not considered in IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001).
Discussion: Very poorly known; may be conspecific with africana which it antedates; see Hayman and Hill (1971).
