Lectotype (Ghazanfar in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 113: 2. 1977): Herb. Linn. No. 1123.2 ( LINN) .

Current name: Myriophyllum verticillatum L. View in CoL ( Haloragaceae ).

Note: Aiken & McNeill (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 80: 219. 1980), evidently unaware of Ghazanfar’s earlier choice of 1123.2 (LINN) as type, discussed the original material for this name and concluded by designating part (the specimen to the left) of the material of 1123.3 (LINN) as lectotype. Despite being sterile, the type designated by Ghazanfar is identifiable as M. verticillatum , according to Aiken & McNeill.
